As part of our ethos to remain at the forefront of technology, D/Gauge have received the ‘Cyber Security Essentials’ qualification and gained certification. D/Gauge IT team and commercial teams have been working hard behind the scenes to validate our current networks to meet the requirements of the certification.
The project (led by Head of Finance and Operations Tom Coughlin) is a key step as we continue to remain a supplier of choice for the railway industry. Tom commented “High levels of cyber security are now a basic requirement for the supply chain. We aim to achieve industry standards and best practice to bring us on par, or ahead of the industries and organisations we work with.” Achieving industry recognised certifications can instil trust in our suppliers, customers, and partners as we comply to high IT and security standards.
Engaging in this process has also reminded our internal colleagues of the principles of cyber security – and with a world-class team of software developers in our midst – continuous training and refresher courses are a good way to reinforce core messages. With this certification complete, our company and employees are more knowledgeable on cyber security principles and the impacts of their work in the cyber security framework. Security and safety are every employee’s responsibility and getting certifications brings it to the forefront.
IT Manager for D/Gauge Andrew Burke commented “Cyber security in the modern age underpins any organisations portfolio and we are always striving to be at the forefront of the market. I am pleased that we are now easily recognised as achieving this goal and the credible certification is always nice for our company”.
